Ora Banda Mining Limited (ASX: $OBM) has announced the discovery of a high grade stacked lode system in the northern Sand King area. The first exploration hole intercepted impressive grades, including 16.0m @ 5.6 g/t 090° vein, 3.0m @ 14.4 g/t 090° vein, and 1.4m @ 10.2 g/t 090° vein. These intercepts extend mineralisation a further 100m north, opening up significant exploration opportunities. The company's Phase 2 drilling is ongoing, with additional holes planned to follow up on this initial northern discovery.
Discovering this high-grade lode system under the ultramafic unit is game changing for the prospects of a potential underground mine at Sand King. Our confidence is growing daily, and it is becoming more apparent that we are only scratching the surface of the Siberia Gold Complex. The Sand King Underground drill out is tracking well, and we are excited by the potential to deliver a second underground mine to support our Riverina Underground operations. If achieved, the business will be in a step change position whereby the 1.2mtpa Davyhurst process plant will be full of high-grade ore, and our production rate will increase substantially.
