Future Battery Minerals Ltd (ASX: $FBM) has announced the successful completion of the Phase 3 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at the Nevada Lithium Project (NLP). The drilling focused on testing the southern strike extent of the Lone Mountain prospect and has resulted in significant thick, shallow, high-grade intercepts, extending the delineated strike extent of the mineralization by an additional 1.7 km to over 3.0 km. The company is on track to declare a maiden Mineral Resource for the NLP in Q1 CY2024.
Future Battery Minerals Ltd Managing Director and CEO, Nick Rathjen, expressed satisfaction with the Phase 3 RC drilling results, highlighting the approximate 130% extension of the known strike of the Lone Mountain mineralization. Rathjen also emphasized the successful extension of the depth of the high-grade mineralization, which remains open at depth. He further mentioned that all Phase 3 assay results are with their geological partner, Stantec Consulting, and the targeted maiden Mineral Resource Estimate declaration for the NLP is expected this month.
The Phase 3 RC drilling at the Nevada Lithium Project has delivered significant results, extending the strike extent of the Lone Mountain mineralization and confirming the presence of a continuous thick package of high-grade claystone. The company is looking forward to the declaration of the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the NLP, which is expected to demonstrate the scale and opportunity that exists at the project. With the broader regional context in mind, the NLP's location near other advanced lithium claystone projects further enhances its potential. The successful drilling results and the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate declaration indicate a positive outlook for Future Battery Minerals Ltd and its Nevada Lithium Project.
