Si6 Metals Limited (ASX: $SI6) has announced highly encouraging surface sample results from the Caldera Project in Minas Gerais, confirming saprolite clay-hosted rare earth elements (REE) mineralisation. The initial surface sampling program has returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) results up to 933 ppm with an average of 24% high-value magnet rare earth oxide (MREO/TREO). The company is now preparing to commence an auger drill program to test the upper portion of the clay profile for the extent of the REE mineralisation.
We are delighted to receive the first results from our initial exploration program at the Caldera Project's southern prospect at the highly prospective Poços de Caldas Alkaline Complex in Minas Gerais. These results provide a strong level of encouragement that the Caldera Project can follow the exploration success of neighboring companies. We are now preparing an immediate auger drilling program to test the upper portion of the clay profile for the extent of the REE mineralisation.
Si6 Metals Limited (ASX: $SI6) has reported highly encouraging surface sample results from the Caldera Project, confirming saprolite clay-hosted rare earth elements (REE) mineralisation. The company is commencing an auger drill program to test the extent of the mineralisation at depth, where higher-grade REE mineralisation is usually intersected with this style of deposit. The surface sampling results returned an average of 24% high-value magnet rare earth oxide (MREO), with NdPr oxide making up an average 94% proportion of the MREO. The company's ambitions and goals include following the exploration success of neighboring companies and preparing for immediate auger drilling to further evaluate the REE mineralisation.
