Aurum Resources reports high-grade gold intercepts at Boundiali

Aurum Resources Limited (ASX: $AUE) has announced promising results from scout drilling at the BD tenement of its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. The assay results for 15 diamond holes drilled at BD Target 2 have revealed shallow, wide high-grade gold mineralisation intercepts, including 6m @ 9.95 g/t Au from 165m and 18m @ 2.58 g/t Au from 110m. The company also disclosed that more than 4,000 core samples from both BD Target 1 and Target 2 are currently in the laboratory, with results expected in the coming weeks. Additionally, Aurum recently acquired a third diamond drill rig to bolster its drilling capacity, targeting an initial Mineral Resource Estimate for Boundiali in late CY2024. The company boasts a strong cash balance of $3.38M (unaudited) as of 31/3/2024, excluding the 2nd Tranche of the $7M capital raise completed in mid-April 2024.

We are very excited to see these results from the second gold prospect on the BD tenement of the Boundiali gold project. We are encouraged to see these shallow, wide gold mineralised intercepts also include high-grade gold shoots such as 6m @ 9.95 g/t Au from 165m including 2m @ 28.9 g/t Au in hole DSDD0023. These assay results are from scout diamond drilling, testing a 1.7km long by 1km wide prospect which was defined by previous exploration work and includes soil samples, trenching and RC drilling. The target sits within a 13km by 3km gold mineralised corridor which includes the three gold prospects we are currently drill testing. BD Target 2 is about 4km northeast of BD Target 1 where we are currently drilling step back holes to follow up earlier results such as 73m @ 2.15g/t Au from 172m (DSDD0012). We are well funded following completion of our recent $7M capital raise. Our drilling capacity will increase to 4,000m a month with our third diamond rig arriving on site later this month. We are confident we will also define new targets on the BD and BM tenements whilst drilling towards our target of delivering maiden JORC resources by late 2024.
