Astral Resources NL (ASX: $AAR) has reported positive assay results from a recently completed 18-hole/2,172 metre RC drilling program at the Kamperman Prospect, part of its 100%-owned Feysville Gold Project located approximately 14km south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The results support the extension of the mineralised strike length to approximately 450 metres, with the potential to establish Feysville as a valuable source of higher-grade satellite ore for the Mandilla Processing Plant.
The Managing Director of Astral Resources, Marc Ducler, expressed satisfaction with the continued growth of the Kamperman Prospect ahead of the delivery of a maiden Mineral Resource. He highlighted the cost-effective and efficient nature of shallow RC drilling, emphasizing the intersecting significant gold mineralization in two-thirds of the drill holes at Kamperman. Ducler also mentioned the ongoing in-fill program at Rogan Josh and the plans for a regional exploration program to test an area up to two kilometers to the north of Kamperman, aiming to identify potential large-scale gold targets.
The assay results from the RC drilling program at the Kamperman Prospect have reinforced the presence of a relatively high-grade zone of mineralization over a 450-meter strike length, which remains open to the north. The upcoming maiden Mineral Resource Estimates for both Kamperman and Rogan Josh are expected to contribute to a broader update to the Feysville Project MRE in the second half of 2024. Astral Resources aims to leverage the availability of additional higher-grade ore from Feysville to provide significant financial leverage for the upcoming Mandilla Pre-Feasibility Study. Additionally, the company plans to complete a regional exploration program to test for potential large-scale gold targets, indicating a proactive approach to future growth and development.
