Sunshine Metals Limited (ASX: $SHN) has announced the successful completion of shallow infill RC drilling at the Liontown West Resource, yielding promising results. The drilling program included 6 holes totaling 1,117m and delivered significant intersections, reinforcing the gold, copper, zinc, and lead potential at Liontown. Additionally, the company has initiated a Resource extension diamond drilling program at the Gap Zone, part of the Ravenswood Consolidated Project.
Sunshine Managing Director, Dr Damien Keys, expressed satisfaction with the results, stating, 'The RC drilling results from Liontown West are a further validation of the gold, copper, zinc, and lead potential at Liontown. This year Sunshine has produced a series of stunning intersections, including 20m @ 18.2g/t Au, 16.2m @ 4.5g/t Au & 1.1% Cu, and now 6m @ 8.5g/t Au & 0.8% Cu, from the footwall of the Liontown Resource. These results are over a strike extent of ~1km with potential extensions to be found along the 1.6km long footwall. The Gap Zone diamond program is well underway with 2 completed holes, logging up to date and samples at the lab. Gold-copper focussed metallurgical test work is also progressing well on Liontown samples. The drilling and metallurgical work will culminate in a Resource update/upgrade in the December 2024 quarter.'
