Overview of Show Cause Notice served to The Star Entertainment Group

The Star Entertainment Group Limited (ASX:SGR) has been served a 'show cause' notice by the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission (NICC) in relation to matters arising from the Bell Two Report. The notice follows the release of the final report of the 2024 Independent Inquiry into The Star, conducted by Adam Bell SC, and includes requests for submissions regarding the Company's actions, suitability to hold the casino license for The Star Sydney, progress in its remediation plan, and its current financial position. The Star is expected to respond to the notice by Friday 27 September 2024 and is currently evaluating the matters raised in the notice and the Bell Two Report.
