West Cobar Metals Limited (ASX:WC1) has announced a significant increase in the Mineral Resource Estimates for rare earth elements (REEs), titanium dioxide, scandium, and alumina at its 100%-owned Salazar Critical Minerals Project in southern Western Australia. The revised estimates, driven by the air core drill program of June 2024, include a 46% increase in REE Mineral Resource Estimate to 123Mt, a 45% increase in Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate for TiO2 to 42Mt, and a 25% increase in Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate for Scandium to 15Mt. The project, located 120km north-east of Esperance, is expected to have potential for major increases in tonnages of all the reported commodities, with a total REE Mineral Resource Estimate at Salazar Project now increased to 230Mt at 1178ppm TREO.
