Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) has announced the extension of high-grade gallium at Block 3 East within its Mons project in WA. The drilling results have revealed extensive intersections of high-grade gallium with anomalous rare earth mineralization, with three RC holes (NRRC0128-130) returning high-grade gallium with substantial intervals greater than 100ppm Ga2O3. The company is awaiting the full suite of rare earths to be assayed imminently.
The high grade gallium trend has continued along and across strike of the original high grade intersections and repeats some 220m to the west, with further intervals in this drill campaign above 100ppm Ga2O3. Given the high-grade large intervals of gallium, Nimy has begun to identify the stand alone commercial value of gallium, along with its role as a base metal pathfinder element.
