DY6 Metals (ASX:DY6) has announced promising results from its recent metallurgical sampling program at the Tundulu REE & Niobium carbonatite project in Malawi. The sampling focused on historic trench TUTR10, where 63 samples were collected. Results showed high levels of Total Rare Earth Oxides and Phosphorus pentoxide, with TREO concentrations up to 3.35% and P2O5 up to 27.5%.
DY6 Metals' recent metallurgical sampling at the Tundulu project in Malawi revealed significant findings, including high-grade concentrations of TREO and P2O5. The results highlight the potential of the site for rare earth and phosphate extraction, with heavy rare earth oxides constituting 13% of the TREO basket. The project also demonstrated low levels of harmful elements and high phosphorus solubility. A composite of selected samples will undergo further metallurgical testing to validate these findings and explore the production of REE concentrate and phosphate fertilizers. The company aims to leverage these results to refine its exploration strategy and attract potential investment partnerships.
