New LiDAR Partnership Aims to Boost Sustainable Farming
Aerometrex Limited (ASX: AMX) announced today that it has signed a significant LiDAR contract worth approximately $0.85 million (GST inclusive) with Agronomeye, a Sydney-based AgTech company. The contract will see Aerometrex providing critical LiDAR data for the creation of a comprehensive three-dimensional property model to support both informed land management and a carbon market project.
Supporting AgTech and Carbon Farming Initiatives
This new project will involve Aerometrex supplying its advanced LiDAR data to Agronomeye, supporting key applications in sustainable farming and smart agriculture. Agronomeye's AgTwinâ„¢ platform, a digital twin technology, will ingest this data to provide farmers with the insights they need to enhance productivity, improve biodiversity, boost water-use efficiency, and participate in carbon farming initiatives.
A Continuing Strong Relationship
This latest agreement strengthens the existing partnership between Aerometrex and Agronomeye, which dates back to 2020. Notably, this contract follows another material LiDAR contract awarded in August 2023, worth $1.6 million (GST inclusive). Since July 2024, Aerometrex has secured approximately $1.05 million (GST inclusive) worth of contracts with Agronomeye, further underscoring the valuable collaboration between the two companies.
Key Milestones and Completion Timeline
The new project is expected to be delivered over several key milestones and is scheduled for completion by January 2025. Aerometrex has confirmed that there are no special conditions attached to this contract, with commercial arrangements following the company’s standard LiDAR terms.
