Australian Rare Earths (ASX:AR3) has announced the start of its first drilling program at the Overland Uranium Project in South Australia's Murray Basin. The program includes around 30 Air Core drill holes totaling approximately 5,000 meters. This effort targets high-priority uranium deposits within a 3,000km² project area with strong potential for sedimentary-hosted uranium deposits amenable to In-Situ Recovery. Initial drill results are expected by the December 2024 quarter.
Australian Rare Earths Limited has embarked on a significant drilling program at the Overland Uranium Project, targeting high-priority uranium deposits with 30 Air Core drill holes across 5,000 meters. The project covers a large 3,000km² area in the Murray Basin, which is considered promising for sedimentary-hosted uranium deposits. Initial exploration approvals have granted access to key targets, with further areas anticipated to open by 2025. AR3's strategic focus on energy transition metals aligns with its vision of being a leader in the global shift towards green energy. The company is also focused on its Koppamurra Project, a rare earth deposit vital for manufacturing electric vehicle and wind turbine components. With the results of this program expected by December 2024, AR3 aims to expand its exploration and development activities, contributing to the clean energy sector.
We are excited about the drilling program as it has the potential to unlock the large tenement position in a frontier uranium play and guide future exploration efforts.
