Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) has announced a new mineral resource model for its Khusib Springs deposit in Namibia. The updated model highlights substantial potential for thick extensions of silver-copper mineralization, particularly to the west and below previously mined areas. The company plans additional drilling to expand the resource base.
Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) has released a new mineral resource model for Khusib Springs, revealing significant potential for expanding high-grade silver-copper resources. Past production from the site yielded high grades of silver and copper, and recent drilling results indicate promising intersections. The company plans further drilling based on the new model to grow its resource base. Golden Deeps is also looking to integrate its other regional deposits into a broader mining strategy and establish a Mining Licence for Khusib Springs. The existing infrastructure and geological similarities to prominent deposits in the region can aid future operations.
The new mineral resource model suggests potential for extensions of the high-grade silver-copper deposit, which is still open at depth and to the west. The mineralization is associated with the sulphide mineral Tennantite. Initial drilling results show significant intersections, including 90m at 83 g/t AgEq and 28m at 156 g/t AgEq.
