Lithium Energy announces sale extension
Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) has extended the completion deadline for selling its 90% stake in the Solaroz Lithium Brine Project to CNGR Netherlands New Energy Technology B.V. The sale, valued at US$63 million, was initially set for October 2024 but is now extended to December 2024 due to pending conditions.
Lithium Energy's strategic outlook
Lithium Energy Limited has extended the sale deadline for its Solaroz Project to December 2024 due to remaining conditions like CNNET's registration in Argentina and environmental approvals. Despite some conditions being met, the company is focused on fulfilling these requirements. Post-sale, Lithium Energy plans to concentrate on its Axon Graphite IPO and maintain operations at Solaroz. The company holds interests in high-grade graphite projects in Queensland, with an upcoming merger and IPO planned for Axon Graphite Limited. This move represents a strategic transition towards graphite projects while managing international transaction complexities.
