Kincora Copper Limited (ASX:KCC) has successfully completed its maiden drilling program at the Bronze Fox Copper-Gold Porphyry Project in Mongolia. The drilling included 16 diamond drill holes, totaling 2516.4 meters, targeting shallow infill and extension. The porphyry target was intersected in all holes, with results expected by late December 2024 or early January 2025.
The Bronze Fox Project, located in the Southern Gobi porphyry belt in Mongolia, spans 175 km² and is considered an underexplored world-class porphyry copper project. Woomera Mining's recent drilling program, completed in under four weeks, involved 16 diamond core holes, including a deeper hole reaching 916.4 meters. All holes confirmed the presence of the target porphyry. Woomera aims to earn an 80% interest in the project by investing US$4 million in exploration, with an option to acquire a 100% stake. Assay results from the drilling are expected by early 2025, which will guide future exploration and resource updates. The company plans to continue exploring both in Mongolia and for battery metals and gold in Western Australia.
We are pleased to have completed the drilling program efficiently and to have confirmed the presence of the target porphyry system in all holes drilled. The Bronze Fox Project has significant potential, and we look forward to receiving the assay results.
