Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) has launched a drilling program at the Leliyn Graphite Project, Australia's largest graphite deposit. The initiative involves 3,000 meters of Reverse Circulation drilling to potentially upgrade the current Inferred Mineral Resource to an Indicated Resource.
Kingsland Minerals is undertaking a significant drilling program at the Leliyn Graphite Project to enhance its mineral resource classification. This effort is aimed at upgrading the 194.6 million tonnes Inferred Mineral Resource at 7.3% TGC to an Indicated Resource, crucial for future scoping studies and graphite concentrate production. The drilling covers a 600-meter strike length with depths targeted at approximately 100 meters. Strategic partnership with Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, a cornerstone shareholder and offtake partner, adds momentum to the project. Kingsland Minerals plans to produce a bulk graphite concentrate sample for testing in electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems. The company is also exploring other mineral assets, including uranium, nickel, and lithium in Australia.
The Leliyn Graphite Project is the largest graphite deposit in Australia and ranks among the top ten globally by size. This drilling program will enable re-estimation of resources for a Scoping Study on the economic viability of producing a flake graphite concentrate.
