Alderan Resources (ASX:AL8) has announced encouraging results from its latest drilling program at the New Years copper prospect in the Cactus District, Utah, USA. The drilling confirmed the presence of shallow, high-grade copper oxide mineralization, highlighting potential for a near-surface oxide copper deposit.
Alderan Resources has reported successful drilling outcomes from its New Years copper prospect in Utah, confirming shallow, high-grade copper oxide mineralization. Key results include intersections of 26 meters at 1.3% copper and 30 meters at 0.78% copper, supporting the potential for a new copper deposit. These results align with historical data and strengthen Alderan's exploration model. The company plans further geological mapping, soil sampling, and additional drilling to explore twelve identified targets. The strategy aims to capitalize on the district's historical mining success, with potential economic benefits from developing a new copper deposit.
The mineralized intercepts are consistent with adjacent historical holes NY-2 and NY-6, which reported significant copper grades.
