Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) has partnered with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) to conduct a nickel mineral indicator study at the Mons Project in Western Australia. The study aims to classify nickel-copper mineralisation styles across the project area, focusing on key prospects.
Nimy Resources has entered into a strategic agreement with CSIRO to enhance nickel exploration at the Mons Project. The study will focus on identifying nickel-copper mineralisation styles at three key prospects, with Masson Prospect being the priority. Supported by CSIRO's Kick-Start program, the study will employ advanced techniques to improve geological understanding and exploration targeting. Nimy Resources aims to accelerate exploration success and unlock the economic potential of their holdings, aligning with their objective to discover and develop critical metals for a decarbonising economy. The project highlights the significance of the Mons Project's geological setting and its potential for large-scale nickel discoveries.
The study will incorporate innovative techniques developed by CSIRO, including the Indicator Minerals for Nickel Sulfides (IM4NiS) model, to identify and map nickel sulfide exploration targets. This project is supported by dollar-matched funding from the CSIRO Kick-Start program, which aids Australian start-ups and businesses.
