Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX) has reported significant gold and copper assay results from the Flicka Lake project in Ontario, Canada. The findings point to possible high-grade quartz-vein hosted gold and polymetallic copper-rich soil anomalies, suggesting a new mineralized region.
Red Mountain Mining's recent assay results from Flicka Lake demonstrate potential for significant gold and copper mineralization. High gold values, reaching up to 17.8ppm, and copper values up to 2420ppm were identified. The company plans to continue exploration efforts, with further surface sampling and drilling to better understand the mineralization potential. Flicka Lake's location within the Archaean Meen-Dempster Greenstone Belt, combined with limited prior exploration, presents an opportunity for substantial discoveries. Red Mountain Mining aims to enhance the project's economic potential and expand its portfolio of mineral resources.
The soil sampling program at Flicka Lake has returned exceptionally high gold and copper values, indicating a potential new mineralized region. Our results, particularly from the northern and northwestern parts of the project area, suggest high-grade quartz-vein hosted gold mineralization potential. Additionally, the polymetallic copper-rich soil anomalies highlight significant volcanic-hosted base metal sulfide mineralization potential. We are encouraged by these findings and are planning further exploration, including additional surface sampling and drill testing, to fully assess the project's potential.
