Spartan Resources (ASX:SPR) has announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Dalgaranga Gold Project in Western Australia. The update reveals a significant increase in high-grade underground resources at the Pepper and Never Never gold deposits. The combined MRE for these deposits is now 2.37 million ounces of gold at 8.7 grams per tonne.

The update includes an increased grade and a substantial portion of resources classified as Indicated, aligning with Spartan's strategy to develop a high-grade underground mining operation. The company is conducting an intensive drilling program to further enhance the project's resources, with a focus on the newly discovered Freak prospect. Future goals include delivering robust MRE upgrades and progressing feasibility studies to support a production restart. The project benefits from proximity to existing infrastructure and high gold recoveries, supporting economic extraction.
