Patriot Lithium (ASX:PAT) has entered a binding option agreement to acquire a 90% interest in the Kitumba Copper Large Scale Exploration License 27715 in Zambia. The license covers 255 square kilometers and is strategically located around the Kitumba Copper Deposit.
Patriot Lithium aims to expand its reach in the mineral exploration sector through a binding option to acquire a majority interest in the Kitumba Copper License in Zambia. The agreement allows them a 12-month exclusivity period for due diligence, with plans to establish a special purpose vehicle for the acquisition. This strategic move aligns with the company's goal to leverage the copper-rich region, backed by Sinomine's substantial investment in the adjacent Kitumba Copper Deposit. Additionally, Patriot maintains interests in lithium exploration in North America, focusing on the Gorman lithium project. The company is committed to engaging with local communities and adhering to industry standards as outlined by Mr. Eugene Gotora.
The Kitumba area is rich in copper-gold mineralization and is expected to see significant investment from Sinomine to bring its neighboring deposit into production.
