Cobre (ASX:CBE) has announced promising results from its first exploration drill hole, NCP55, at the Ngami Copper Project in Botswana's Kalahari Copper Belt. The drill hole intersected a 21-meter package of chalcocite-dominant mineralization, showcasing the potential for further high-grade copper deposits.
Cobre's recent drilling at the Ngami Copper Project has revealed a substantial 21-meter chalcocite mineralization, indicating promising exploration potential. The company plans to continue with a 4,800-meter diamond drill program to further explore and expand the mineralization along strike. The results could lead to the development of a Mineral Resource Estimate, moving exploration targets into the JORC category. Future assays are expected by February 2025, which will provide more data on the copper concentrations. Cobre aims to leverage these findings to enhance its exploration strategy and position in the copper market.
The discovery of this significant chalcocite mineralization at NCP55 is a key milestone for Cobre. It expands our exploration target and demonstrates the potential for high-grade mineralization along previously untested areas. We are excited about the future prospects this holds for our project,' said Adam Wooldridge, CEO of Cobre.
