Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) has announced positive results from its recent in-fill drilling program at the Iris Deposit, part of the Mandilla Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The program yielded significant gold intercepts, including broad zones of 20 meters at 1.5g/t and 28 meters at 1.5g/t, and a high-grade section of 5 meters at 10.3g/t. These results will be integrated into the Mandilla Pre-Feasibility Study, expected in Q2 2025.
Astral Resources is progressing with its Mandilla Gold Project, focusing on resource development and classification enhancements at the Iris Deposit. The recent in-fill drilling program, consisting of 21 reverse circulation holes totaling 3,702 meters, successfully increased drill density to upgrade the resource classification from Inferred to Indicated. With significant assays obtained, further drilling at the Iris Deposit is planned. The Pre-Feasibility Study, due in Q2 2025, will potentially incorporate findings from Iris and other deposits within the project. Astral Resources remains committed to advancing its exploration efforts and improving resource estimates, ensuring the Mandilla Project's growth and economic potential.
We are encouraged by the results of our in-fill drilling program at the Iris Deposit. The high-grade intercepts and broad mineralized zones enhance our understanding and confidence in the resource. We are committed to advancing the Mandilla Gold Project and look forward to incorporating these results into our upcoming Pre-Feasibility Study,' said the Managing Director.
