Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX: $AZY) has released results from the first six holes of the CY2024 Phase 1 drilling programme at its 100%-owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in the Paterson Province of Western Australia. The initial 39 reverse circulation (RC) holes of the 71-hole CY2024 Phase 1 drilling programme at the Minyari Dome Project are complete, with assay results for the first six GEO-01 RC holes returning thick zones of near surface, potentially open pittable, high-grade gold mineralisation.
Antipa's Managing Director, Roger Mason, expressed satisfaction with the Phase 1 CY2024 drill programme, citing fantastic initial results from the first six holes of resource delineation drilling at GEO-01. He highlighted grades of up to one metre at 28.9 g/t gold and multiple intersections of near surface high-grade mineralisation. Mason emphasized the increase in the thickness of the main zone of mineralisation and the substantial shallow, maiden resource opportunity at GEO-01, which remains open in most directions. He also expressed anticipation for the upcoming GEO-01 results.
The CY2024 Phase 1 exploration drilling programme aims to enable a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at the GEO-01 discovery and target new gold-copper discoveries within multiple high-priority target areas. The initial assay results from the first six of the 39 completed holes at GEO-01 have validated significant near-surface, high-grade gold mineralisation. The main zone of observed GEO-01 gold mineralisation has expanded, covering an area of up to 250m along strike and up to 150m across strike, with indications of ongoing growth potential. The remainder of the Phase 1 RC programme will test several additional target areas, including Rizzo, T12, GP01, WACA East, and a Minyari Mineral Resource extension target. Antipa Minerals is set to release assay results for the remainder of Phase 1 drilling around the end of this month, with the programme and budget subject to ongoing review based on results and other relevant factors.
