Arrow Minerals Limited (ASX: $AMD) has reported a strong start to drilling at its Simandou North Iron Project in Guinea, West Africa. The company has confirmed the presence of hematite and other important iron oxide minerals in the first 4 holes completed. Arrow Minerals plans to complete a further 46 holes before 30 June 2024 and has identified a combined strike of approximately 40 kilometres of prospective geology, supporting further drilling for years to come.
Managing Director David Flanagan expressed optimism about the initial drilling results, stating, 'It is extremely promising to be able to visually identify so much hematite mineralisation in our first four holes. Given there is 40 kilometres strike of targets yet to drill, we are confident we will have many quality prospects. We eagerly await first assay results which are due early in the June quarter.'
Arrow Minerals' strong start to drilling at Simandou North Iron Project is a positive indicator for the company's exploration efforts. The identification of hematite mineralisation and the plans for further drilling demonstrate the company's commitment to unlocking the project's potential. However, it is important to note the cautionary statement provided by the company, highlighting that chemical analyses are yet to be completed, and there has been insufficient exploration work to estimate a Mineral Resource. The company's focus on accessing multi-user rail infrastructure reflects its ambitions to fully realize the value of the project. The upcoming assay results in the June quarter will provide further insights into the project's prospects.
