Askari Metals Limited (ASX: $AS2) has acquired a 100% interest in the Matemanga Uranium Project located in the southern part of Tanzania. The project spans an area of approximately 264km2 and is under application through its wholly owned Tanzanian subsidiary, Infinum Uranium Limited.
The Managing Director, Mr Gino D'Anna, expressed that the Matemanga Uranium Project represents a significant exploration opportunity for Askari as they expand their exploration strategy to include high-value and in-demand uranium, aligning with their clean energy mission. The project is strategically located in a low-risk, pro-mining jurisdiction and has been identified with a major radiometric anomaly, reinforcing its exploration potential. The company is focused on fast-tracking applications and has expanded its in-country team with the addition of uranium expert Bertie Pepler.
