Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) has announced outstanding metallurgical results for Hestia, Eos, and Iris, part of the 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project, located approximately 70km south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The recent test-work confirmed exceptional gold recoveries of up to 99.5% across key gold deposits, demonstrating very high gravity recoveries and rapid leaching. The results significantly de-risk the project and are expected to positively impact the metrics and economics of the Mandilla Gold Project Pre-Feasibility Study, which is anticipated to be completed in the June quarter of 2025.
Astral Resources' Managing Director Marc Ducler expressed satisfaction with the exceptional metallurgical results, stating that the outstanding results significantly de-risk the Mandilla Gold Project. He highlighted the ability to achieve high gold recoveries in real-world processing plant conditions, potentially impacting the project's economics positively. Ducler also mentioned the ongoing exploration activities, including in-fill RC drilling at Theia and extensional drilling at Feysville, indicating progress in the company's exploration endeavors.
The metallurgical test results for Hestia, Eos, and Iris demonstrate exceptional gold recoveries, fast leach kinetics, and low reagent consumptions, reaffirming the outstanding metallurgical characteristics of the Mandilla Gold Project. The results are expected to positively impact the Pre-Feasibility Study and potentially lead to the inclusion of ore from Iris in the study. With ongoing exploration activities and mineral resource estimations underway, Astral Resources remains focused on advancing its projects and leveraging the excellent metallurgical properties demonstrated at Mandilla for future growth and development.
