Atlantic Lithium Limited (ASX:$ALL) has announced a maiden JORC (2012) compliant Mineral Resource Estimate of 15.7Mt at 40.2% feldspar for the Company's flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana, West Africa. The feldspar Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) is confined to the Ewoyaa Main, Ewoyaa Northeast, Ewoyaa South-1, and Ewoyaa South-2 deposits, representing approximately the first five years of planned spodumene concentrate production at the Project.
'Identified early on by the Company as a by-product of spodumene concentrate production at Ewoyaa, the definition of the maiden Feldspar MRE now confirms the Project's potential as a major source of domestic feldspar in Ghana, capable of delivering industry-standard saleable ware,' said Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium.
The maiden feldspar MRE reported by Atlantic Lithium for the Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana signifies the potential for the Project to become a significant domestic feldspar producer. The Company intends to supply the feldspar into the local Ghanaian ceramics market, aiming to drive down operating costs and enhance the value of the Project. The results of ceramic application trials have been encouraging, indicating the potential for the manufacture of saleable feldspar products. Further growth of the feldspar resource is targeted, and the ongoing Feldspar Study is expected to provide insights into the viability of producing feldspar at the Project. Atlantic Lithium looks forward to delivering the results of the Feldspar Study in Q1 2024 and aims to achieve major milestones in 2024 before breaking ground at Ewoyaa.
