Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: $AMI) has reported significant results from its recent surface and underground exploration programs at the Queen Bee deposit and the North and South Mines in the Peak Mine Complex within the Cobar District, NSW. The company has intersected significant copper at Queen Bee, Mt Pleasant, and Jubilee North, along with notable gold results at Blue Lens.
In the words of Chief Development and Technical Officer, Andrew Graham, 'In the second half of this financial year, copper will become the dominant ore type mined at Peak, marking a clear milestone in the transition of Peak to its future as a copper mine. It is fantastic that our recent exploration campaigns in the Cobar District have had such considerable success in delineating additional high-grade copper zones, further supporting a long-life copper future for Peak. The exceptional copper grades intersected at Queen Bee are particularly encouraging. Our aim is to grow this deposit to potentially support the development of a new mining source to feed the Peak processing plant.'
Aurelia Metals' exploration efforts have yielded exceptional copper and gold grades at Queen Bee, Mt Pleasant, Jubilee North, and Blue Lens. The company's focus on delineating additional high-grade copper zones supports the transition of Peak to its future as a copper mine. The exceptional copper grades intersected at Queen Bee are particularly encouraging, with the aim to potentially develop a new mining source to feed the Peak processing plant. Further work in FY25 will focus on discovering additional mineralisation to assess the extent of the Queen Bee system prior to mining related studies being considered. Additionally, potential extensions to mineralisation towards the Young Australian prospect have been identified at Mount Pleasant, with further drilling anticipated in FY25. The successful exploration drilling at Jubilee North has extended mineralisation north of the previously defined deposit, with further drilling planned to test for additional mineralisation in the area. Further drilling is also necessary at Blue Lens to assess the potential for future mining. Aurelia Metals remains committed to its strategic landholding and operational mines in NSW, with ongoing exploration and development projects to support its long-term corporate strategy.
