Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: $AMI) has released significant results from its recent exploration programs at the Federation deposit and the Lancelot prospect in the Nymagee District, NSW. The visual drill core results for diamond drill hole FDD215 at the Federation deposit have confirmed a spectacular intercept, supporting the potential discovery of a faulted northern offset to the Federation deposit. Additionally, results from a combined soil geochemical survey and auger drill program at the Lancelot prospect have defined highly prospective target areas for follow-up drill testing planned for FY25.
The drill core of Federation hole FDD215 is visually spectacular. The assay results from this hole, that we released today, confirm an outstanding intercept, even when considered relative to very high-grade holes into the Federation deposit. What is more exciting is that this drilling points to a faulted offset of the deposit, some 140m to the north. This offset has the potential to extend the Federation deposit materially to the west. Lancelot is a great example of our systematic and staged approach to exploration, with the results of low-cost surface soils supporting targeted geophysical surveys and then more detailed bottom-of-hole geochemical analysis. This approach allows the Company to cost-effectively work our premier landholding in the Cobar Basin.
Aurelia Metals' exploration update has revealed significant results, indicating the potential extension of the Federation deposit to the west and defining highly prospective target areas at the Lancelot prospect. The Company's systematic and staged approach to exploration has proven effective, with plans for follow-up drill testing in FY25. The exploration potential at the Dominion prospect will be re-considered with the new structural information, and further exploration drilling is set to commence early in FY25. Aurelia Metals continues to demonstrate its commitment to strategic exploration and development, positioning itself for future growth and success in the mining and exploration sector.
