Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: $BGL) has reported the discovery of a major high-grade ore shoot at Deacon Main, with assays showing significantly higher grades than those in the Resource estimates used for mine planning. The recent infill drilling has delineated this high-grade ore shoot, which is similar to the historically mined high pyrrhotite ore shoots at the nearby Bellevue lode, and remains open down plunge. The company is mobilising another underground drill rig to expedite Deacon Main infill drilling.
Bellevue Managing Director Darren Stralow stated, 'These results replicate what the Bellevue Mine was historically known for: very high-grade gold contained in short strike structures. With infill results significantly out-performing the Resource estimate in the area, this high-grade ore will supplement the early mine plan and ensure that we continue to see strong grade and solid production results as we ramp up to full-scale production. We're also excited about the multiple analogous targets along the Deacon Shear which we can target with further underground drilling as drill platforms become available.'
The discovery of the high-grade ore shoot at Deacon Main presents a significant development for Bellevue Gold, with the potential to enhance the near-term mine plan. The ore shoot, similar to historically mined high pyrrhotite ore shoots, has shown exceptional grade and continuity, with assays significantly exceeding the Resource estimates. The company is optimistic about the multiple analogous targets along the Deacon Shear and plans to target them with further underground drilling. The mobilisation of an additional underground drill rig reflects the company's commitment to immediate infill drilling to follow up on these high-grade targets. This discovery positions Bellevue Gold for continued strong grade and solid production results as it progresses towards full-scale production.
