Buxton Resources Ltd (ASX:BUX) has obtained heritage clearances to facilitate drilling at the 100% owned Centurion Project in the West Arunta region of Western Australia. The clearances, received following the Centurion Heritage Survey conducted in July 2024, enable drilling activities at ten sites, including water-bore sites, along with associated access track construction and a camp. The company's CEO, Marty Moloney, expressed excitement about the upcoming drilling program, citing the project's potential for a significant alteration system.
It was a privilege to work with the Parna Ngururrpa and Parna Kyanta people, who are the traditional owners of the area. We look forward to building on the strong foundation of partnership, trust and mutual respect that was established during this survey, and we hope to share with them and our shareholders the thrill of a greenfields copper-gold discovery.
Buxton Resources' receipt of heritage clearances marks a significant milestone in the development of the Centurion Project. The project, characterized by semi co-incident magnetic and gravity anomalies, presents a promising copper-gold target comparable to world-class IOCG deposits. The company plans to commence drilling southwest of the previous drillhole VE001 to test both magnetic and gravity features. Additionally, the company has been awarded a WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme grant to offset drilling costs. With the maiden drilling program scheduled for H1 2025, Buxton looks forward to updating shareholders on the progress of this exciting project and potential discoveries.
