Desert Metals Limited (ASX: $DM1) has successfully completed 2,784m of aircore drilling at the Tengrela South gold permit in northern Côte d'Ivoire. The drilling aimed to test the southern extensions of gold mineralisation at the Podio and Logbog prospects, and a new gold anomaly southwest of Podio. Samples have been submitted for gold analysis via the Chrysos TM PhotonAssay technique, with results expected in April 2024. This drilling project is part of Desert Metals' recent acquisition of Côte d'lvoire gold and lithium explorer CDI Resources Limited, for which a $3.75m placement was completed to fund drilling and exploration in Côte d'lvoire and Western Australia.
Desert Metals Managing Director Robert Stuart expressed, 'Desert Metals is pleased to have completed this initial air core drilling program so soon after settling the 100% acquisition of CDI Resources Limited in Côte d'lvoire. The Tengrela South Project's proximity to existing gold and lithium discoveries presents an exciting opportunity for Desert Metals. We are eagerly anticipating the results in April 2024, which could significantly enhance the development potential of current gold mineralisation at the Podio and Logbog Prospects.'
