Dreadnought Resources Limited (ASX:DRE) has announced exceptional niobium intercepts at the Stinger Discovery in the Gifford Creek Carbonatite, part of the 100% owned Mangaroon Nb-REE project located in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia. The recent drilling program has confirmed significant niobium mineralisation, with assays from a 9 RC hole program revealing thick intervals of niobium, including the thickest and highest-grade intercepts to date. The results confirm oxide and fresh bedrock niobium mineralisation at Stinger over approximately 1.2km of strike, which remains open in all directions.
Dreadnought's Managing Director, Dean Tuck, expressed satisfaction with the drilling results, stating, 'The Gifford Creek Carbonatite has delivered the thickest and highest-grade intercepts to date. All this in a Tier I jurisdiction with ready access to infrastructure including sealed roads, ports, regional workforces, and airports. We continue to see the potential for Mangaroon to evolve as a multi-commodity critical metals hub with ready access to existing infrastructure.'
The recent drilling program at the Gifford Creek Carbonatite project has confirmed significant niobium mineralisation, with the results indicating the potential for Mangaroon to evolve as a multi-commodity critical metals hub. The presence of coarse grained pyrochlore niobium, commercially viable and accounting for a significant portion of global niobium production, has been confirmed. The project's strategic location in a Tier I jurisdiction with access to existing infrastructure further enhances its potential. The next steps include wide spaced fenceline drilling across the Stinger Zone to better constrain the oxide and fresh boundaries, as well as collecting material for mineralogical and metallurgical assessment. The project's significant infrastructure advantages, including access to sealed roads, ports, regional workforces, and airports, position it favorably for future developments. The company's ambitions and goals include further exploration and assessment to unlock the full potential of the Gifford Creek Carbonatite project.
