Dreadnought Resources Limited (ASX: $DRE) has announced the confirmation of high-grade Cu-Au, Zn-Ag mineralization at the Tiger prospect, part of the Mangaroon gold camp in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia. The recent mapping and sampling activities have revealed multiple stacked, sub-cropping, gossanous horizons over approximately 500 meters of strike, with significant Cu-Au, Zn-Ag content. The highest-grade results include TIG026 with 8.7% Cu, 9.0% Zn, 40.7g/t Ag, and 1.0g/t Au, and TIG027 with 10.5% Cu, 4.6% Zn, 16.3g/t Ag, and 1.0g/t Au. These findings support the potential presence of a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system at Tiger, marking the first identification of such a system in the region. The company is set to commence Moving Loop EM (MLEM) surveys in July 2024 to aid in further target definition ahead of EIS co-funded drilling at Tiger.
Dreadnought's Managing Director, Dean Tuck, expressed his satisfaction with the identification of a potential high-grade VMS system at Tiger. He highlighted the significance of the competitive EIS grant and emphasized the ongoing mapping, geochemical sampling, and EM surveys as precursors to the planned 2024 drill programs. These developments underscore the company's commitment to exploring and leveraging the potential of the Mangaroon area.
The confirmation of high-grade Cu-Au, Zn-Ag mineralization at the Tiger prospect marks a significant milestone for Dreadnought Resources. The identification of a potential VMS system in the region opens up new exploration opportunities and reaffirms the company's strategic focus on the Mangaroon gold camp. The upcoming MLEM surveys and EIS co-funded drilling reflect the company's proactive approach to further target definition and exploration activities. With ongoing mapping and sampling programs, the company aims to define additional targets and capitalize on the region's genuine camp scale potential. The results also indicate the presence of shallow, high-grade Au-Ag potential, further enhancing the outlook for the Mangaroon gold camp. Dreadnought's ambitions to deploy modern techniques and generate new prospects demonstrate its commitment to unlocking the full potential of the Mangaroon area.
