Equinox Resources Limited (ASX: $EQN) has announced the commencement of its maiden drill program at the Campo Grande Rare Earth Element (REE) Project in Brazil. The company's initial assay results from surface channel clay samples have revealed high REE grades, with a maiden drill program set to commence in April at Rio Negro following the discovery of widespread mineralised zones and identification of high priority targets.
In less than five months since staking this area, we are advancing to drill at our first target tenement, Rio Negro. The high grade REE clay surface samples collected are extremely promising and provide a solid foundation for our expectations of what lies below the ground. Phase / of the surface sampling campaign is still in progress, with Phase // aimed at targeting geophysical anomalies using a hand-held portable Gamma Spectrometer as we discovery more targets. Concurrently, we will have our maiden drilling campaign underway in April.
