Estrella Resources (ASX:ESR) has identified two new supergene manganese prospects at the Lautém Manganese Project in Timor-Leste. The findings, made during reconnaissance mapping, revealed high-grade manganese content of 57.5% and 63.4% at the Ira Miri Prospect. These results were achieved under exploration license MEL2023-CA-ZA001.
Estrella Resources has made significant progress with the discovery of new manganese prospects at the Lautém Project. The company's exploration model has proven effective, predicting the successful location of high-grade manganese deposits. Estrella plans to conduct geophysical surveys, including Induced Polarisation (IP) surveys, to further explore these promising finds. The company aims to refine their predictive exploration model and expand mapping coverage, indicating a strategic commitment to uncovering additional manganese resources in Timor-Leste. These steps reflect Estrella's ambition to explore and potentially develop high-grade manganese deposits in the region.
Our exploration model successfully predicted the location of these secondary supergene deposits, suggesting a potential for high-grade manganese deposits. These discoveries are obscured by scree material and require further investigation through planned geophysical surveys.
