EV Resources Limited (ASX: $EVR) has unveiled significant findings at its Khartoum Project in northern Queensland. The surface rock chip samples have revealed the presence of high grade copper and precious metals potential, with values reaching up to 71% Cu and 874g/t Ag. The Company has applied its rock chip database to identify porphyry targets with elevated copper and silver mineralisation, accompanied by heightened molybdenum assays, indicating porphyry-style mineralisation. The pervasive copper mineralisation in the wider district suggests the likelihood of larger underlying copper mineralisation. EVR has also identified five new high priority targets through geophysical data assessment, with plans for further IP to be conducted before drilling.
Adrian Paul, Executive Director of EV Resources, noted, 'Despite the very large number of historic mines, very little exploration has been carried out in the area. Our surface geochemistry compilation indicates that Cu-Ag-Au-Mo mineralisation is pervasive, strongly suggesting that porphyry mineralisation is very likely to occur here. EV Resources is now on the hunt for that porphyry at Khartoum.'
The ASX announcement by EV Resources Limited highlights the significant potential for high grade copper and precious metals at the Khartoum Project. The Company's compilation of surface geochemical data has led to the identification of porphyry targets with elevated copper and silver mineralisation, accompanied by heightened molybdenum assays. The pervasive copper mineralisation in the wider district suggests the likelihood of larger underlying copper mineralisation. EVR has also identified five new high priority targets through geophysical data assessment, with plans for further IP to be conducted before drilling. Looking ahead, EV Resources is planning to confirm historic sampling results, expand sampling in key areas, and undertake a full geophysical interpretation of the Project area. The Company's ambitions and goals include the reassessment of the geological model and potential scale of the Parag project in Peru, as well as the preparation of a drilling programme for the Don Enrique project. Additionally, EVR will continue to review its other assets, including the lithium projects in Austria and Australia.
