First Lithium Limited (ASX: $FL1) has completed 1,703.5m of diamond core drill holes at the Blakala lithium prospect in Mali. The drilling program has resulted in the intersection of main, western, and eastern pegmatite bodies, with notable widths and mineralization. The company's Managing Director, Venkat Padala, expressed optimism about the project's potential, highlighting the open nature of the prospect on strike, width, and depth.
With the main pegmatite strike further extended and with intersections of well mineralised main pegmatite at depth, the Blakala prospect continues to provide encouraging signs. Drilling has reached approximately 60% of the previously announced program and with more mineralised intersections in the western pegmatite and now the first intersections of the initial drilling in the eastern pegmatite totalling 116.6m, the project not only remains open on strike, but also in width and at depth.
First Lithium (ASX: $FL1) has made significant progress at the Blakala lithium prospect, with the completion of additional diamond drillholes resulting in the extension of the main pegmatite strike and the intersection of significant widths of pegmatite. The project remains open on strike, width, and at depth, indicating promising potential for further mineralization. The company's commitment to sustainable development and environmentally sensitive practices underlines its dedication to positively impacting local communities while meeting the global demand for lithium.
