Flynn Gold Limited (ASX: $FG1) has announced the successful completion of its maiden diamond drilling program at the Warrentinna Project in northeast Tasmania. The drilling program, consisting of 2 drillholes totaling 357m, has confirmed multiple zones of auriferous quartz veining, with promising intercepts reported in hole DNDD001, including 7.2m @ 2.5g/t Au from 68.9m.
Managing Director and CEO, Neil Marston, expressed satisfaction with the results, stating, 'Our maiden diamond drilling program has confirmed that the Warrentinna Project has potential for gold resources near surface and proven to extend the depth of mineralisation to greater than 100 metres. Previous explorers have produced remarkable high grades at Warrentinna. Our drilling has confirmed the existence of multiple zones of gold mineralisation and added a structural context which will be used in targeting for future drilling campaigns.'
Flynn Gold's maiden diamond drilling program at the Warrentinna Project has yielded promising results, confirming the presence of multiple zones of auriferous quartz veining. The program has provided valuable structural data, guiding future targeting for drilling campaigns. The Warrentinna goldfield, defined by shallow historic workings over a 6km strike length, presents significant untested potential. The company is reviewing the results to refine the geological model and prepare a preliminary mineral resource model, identifying the best locations for follow-up drilling. Flynn Gold's ongoing exploration activities in Tasmania and Western Australia demonstrate its commitment to unlocking the full potential of its mineral assets.
