Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX: $GAL) has initiated RC drilling at the North Callisto prospect as part of the Norseman Project in Western Australia. The campaign involves a 3,000-metre drill program targeting nickel and palladium, with the first assay results expected in June. The drill targets, located between one and five kilometers from the 17.5Mt Callisto resource, aim to test strongly chargeable geophysical anomalies along strike from Callisto. Additionally, geophysical induced polarisation (IP) surveying is ongoing to assist in the detection of disseminated sulphide deposits similar to Callisto.
Campaign drilling at our Norseman project is underway as we aim to make further discoveries in this new mineral province. The Callisto deposit is the first of its kind in the area, and we believe the potential for additional mineralisation is highly significant. Our exploration strategy follows a cyclical pattern with campaign drilling, review and interpretation of results, integration of new information, and then follow-up drilling. We believe this cycle of exploration activity gives us the best opportunity of making further discoveries. We look forward to the results of the current round of drilling as we seek to unlock the potential of a newly discovered mineral province.
