Great Southern Mining Limited (ASX:GSN) has completed a targeted 15-hole (1,946 m) RC drilling program at its 100% owned Duketon Gold Project in Western Australia. The drilling primarily focused on the Golden Boulder prospect, where shallow high-grade gold intercepts were achieved, and the newly identified Boundary and Southern Star North targets.
Golden Boulder continues to return shallow high-grade intercepts, warranting a significant drill-out to test the 3.7 km prospective trend. The early success at the Boundary prospect is highly encouraging, with significant potential for gold discoveries. GSN plans to embark upon a multi-phase drill-out program given the scale and high prospectivity of targets defined at the Duketon Gold Project.
The drilling program at Duketon Gold Project has delivered significant high-grade gold intercepts at the Golden Boulder and Boundary prospects, extending the mineralised zones and demonstrating the potential for economic gold resources. GSN's short to medium-term strategy is to drill out key targets with the objective of delineating economic gold resources. The Company remains confident in the exploration potential of its tenure and plans to focus on depth and strike extensions of known mineralisation, as well as the development of newly defined exploration prospects.
