Helix Resources Ltd (ASX:HLX) has announced the commencement of drill testing for the upgraded Bijoux copper anomaly in late September 2024. The company aims to explore and delineate the higher-grade portion of the kilometers-long Bijoux copper anomaly, following recent auger geochem results. The Bijoux prospect, located in Helix's western tenements, represents a significant copper discovery and is part of the company's ongoing target generation and testing program in the Cobar-Nyngan area of central NSW.
We are very excited to be resuming drilling at Bijoux. The new copper auger results clearly show the extension to the known drilled copper zone, providing an obvious pathway for the follow up drilling to extend zones of higher-grade oxide and sulphide copper mineralisation. Helix is treating this area as a copper camp that contains a series of robust surface copper geochemistry targets, and the strategy is to discover new CSA-style copper lodes within these anomalous outlines. The objective of the current exploration programs is to identify additional copper mineralisation in a near surface setting (<400m depth) to grow the existing Mineral Resources. Helix considers active exploration of high-quality targets for new copper, gold and base metal deposits will create value for shareholders.
Helix Resources Ltd (ASX:HLX) is set to commence drill testing of the upgraded Bijoux copper anomaly in late September 2024. The company's focus on exploring and delineating the higher-grade portion of the Bijoux copper anomaly aligns with its strategy to make new copper (and gold) discoveries in the Cobar-Nyngan area of central NSW. The recent auger geochem results have enhanced the delineation of the higher-grade portion of the kilometers-long Bijoux copper anomaly, leading to the mobilization for drill testing. Helix's Managing Director, Kylie Prendergast, emphasized the company's excitement in resuming drilling at Bijoux and highlighted the potential for discovering new CSA-style copper lodes within the anomalous outlines. The company's objective is to identify additional copper mineralisation in a near surface setting to grow the existing Mineral Resources, creating value for shareholders. With ongoing exploration programs and the upcoming Bijoux drill program, Helix aims to continue its active exploration of high-quality targets for new copper, gold, and base metal deposits.
