Industrial Minerals Ltd (ASX: $IND) has announced the establishment of a Maiden Exploration Target for High Purity Quartz (HPQ) at its Pippingarra Quarry Project, located 30km south-east of Port Hedland, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The company's recent RC drilling program has informed the Maiden HPQ Exploration Target, with plans for further drilling to test quartz occurrences and commence work on a HPQ Mineral Resource Estimate alongside metallurgical testwork by potential offtake partners and third-party mineral processing laboratories.
Following the successful processing of a Pippingarra quartz sample, Industrial Minerals' Managing Director, Jeff Sweet, expressed optimism about the potential to supply Pippingarra quartz into high-end quartz markets. The company's motivation to commence work towards a Mineral Resource Estimate is to leverage its unique position of having an active mining operation at the Pippingarra Quarry, aiming to provide potential offtake partners with the confidence to enter into agreements with IND, knowing that the company can rapidly advance to be mine ready and support long term supply needs.
