Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX:IEC) has announced the identification of a significant lithium-caesium-tantalum system and a large-scale gold system at the Maggie Hays Hill Project in Western Australia. The 1,960-metre reconnaissance drilling program revealed the presence of a large-scale lithium system with exceptional grades of niobium and tantalum, as well as a new gold system. Principal Geologist Todd Hibberd commented that the company is in the right place and very close to locating the core of the lithium system, with further work focusing on identifying vectors to the center of the systems.
The drilling program has identified a large lithium system with exceptional grades of niobium and tantalum in places. We are in the right place and while we have not located the core of the lithium system, we are very close. We have only tested a small number of accessible targets and there are a multitude of additional targets to the west, east and north with high lithium, caesium and tantalum results.
Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX:IEC) has successfully identified a large-scale lithium-caesium-tantalum system and a new gold system at the Maggie Hays Hill Project in Western Australia. The reconnaissance drilling program revealed a significant lithium system with exceptional grades of niobium and tantalum, indicating the presence of a large LCT system. Further work will focus on identifying geochemical trends to assist in vectoring towards the center of the LCT system. The company also identified a widespread low-grade gold system associated with quartz veins and base metal enrichment. Intra Energy's Maggie Hays Hill Project, located near Esperance, is an 80% owned joint venture covering 49 km2 targeting lithium as spodumene, tantalum, niobium, and Archean lode gold mineralization. The company's focus on battery, base, and precious metals exploration aligns with the global decarbonization and electrification efforts for the clean energy future.
