Investigator Resources (ASX:IVR) has announced a delay in the Paris Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for its Paris Silver Project. The DFS, originally expected in 2024, requires further optimization to address increased costs and market changes since the 2021 Pre-Feasibility Study.
Investigator Resources has delayed the release of the Paris Silver Project's Definitive Feasibility Study to further optimize the project in light of increased costs and market conditions. The company is re-evaluating silver price assumptions, revisiting open pit designs, and exploring a shift to owner-operator mining to reduce costs. Power options are being reassessed to increase solar power usage, and tailings management is being reconsidered. Despite the delay, significant progress has been made, and additional work is expected to complete by June 2025. Investigator Resources remains focused on delivering a strong case for the Paris Silver Project, which is the highest-grade undeveloped silver project in Australia.
While the delay is frustrating for shareholders, it is necessary to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date DFS. The increased mining and processing costs and capital expenditure have impacted the financial metrics, and we need to examine opportunities to enhance project value. Our aim is to present a robust case for a successful silver mining operation at Paris.
