Legend Mining Limited (ASX:LEG) has reported the preliminary modelling of the High-Power Fixed Loop Electro-Magnetics (HPFLTEM) survey at the Octagonal prospect within the Rockford Project, Fraser Range, Western Australia. The survey, conducted from October to December 2023, has identified three conductors interpreted to be related to nickel-copper mineralisation, with a strong conductive zone east of the Octagonal Intrusive Complex also remaining open. The survey area is set to be extended in 2024.
Legend Executive Chair, Mr Mark Wilson, expressed cautious optimism with the results of the survey, citing evidence of nickel-copper mineralisation in drillholes proximal to the modelled conductors and the presence of a strong conductive source to the east of the Octagonal Intrusive Complex. He noted that the final modelling of these conductors will require the input of data from the extended survey planned for March/April 2024, which is expected to generate new drill targets for the 2024 field season.
