Lycopodium (ASX:LYL) has secured major contracts for the Koné Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. This includes engineering, procurement, and construction management for a new gold processing plant. The project is valued at A$56.7 million and aims to be one of West Africa's largest facilities.
Lycopodium has been awarded the engineering and procurement, as well as construction management contracts for the Koné Gold Project. The flagship project by Montage Gold is located in Côte d'Ivoire and is set to become one of the largest greenfield gold processing plants in West Africa. The project is strategically positioned near critical infrastructure and is fully funded with a capital investment of US$835 million. Lycopodium's scope of work is valued at A$56.7 million and includes comprehensive engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning of an 11.0 Mtpa carbon-in-leach process plant. The project is expected to commence production in early 2027, with an estimated mine life of 16 years and an annual production of 300,000 ounces of gold in the first eight years. Lycopodium is currently advancing with Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) services and has already begun EPCM services. The company's involvement underscores its proficiency in large-scale, multidisciplinary projects and reinforces its position as a leader in engineering solutions across various sectors.
