Maximus Resources Limited (ASX:MXR) has announced the resolution of legal proceedings related to the objection against the application of Special Mining Lease M15/1908-G (SML) in Western Australia. The company, as the registered holder of Mining Lease M15/1101 (ML), had objected to the conversion of Special Prospecting License P15/6390-S (SPL) into SML by an individual prospector. However, a settlement agreement has been reached between Maximus and the SPL Holder, resulting in the surrender of SPL and withdrawal of the SML application. Consequently, Maximus can now proceed with exploration and development activities at the 8500N gold deposit and 8500N paleochannel, which were previously restricted by the SPL.
The settlement of the legal dispute regarding the 8500N paleochannel marks a significant milestone for Maximus Resources. This resolution allows us to fully utilize our mining lease and advance exploration and development activities in the area. The surrender of the SPL and withdrawal of the SML application provide us with the opportunity to focus on the 8500N gold deposit and paleochannel, which hold substantial potential for our operations. We are now preparing for a close-spaced RC drill program at the 8500N paleochannel, aiming to unlock the area's resource potential and contribute to our strategic objectives. This development aligns with our commitment to maximizing the value of our assets and driving sustainable growth for the benefit of our stakeholders.
