Narryer Metals Limited (ASX: $NYM) has commenced its maiden diamond drilling program at the Rocky Gully REE Project in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. The program, co-funded by the Western Australian Government, aims to test the carbonatite REE target with up to 3 diamond holes.
Narryer's Managing Director Dr Gavin England expressed, 'Narryer is ramping up its exploration push for 2024 and pleased we have drilling underway at our Rocky Gully REE Project in WA. This diamond drilling, partly funded by the WA state government through EIS funding in 2023, is to test the carbonatite REE mineralisation model the Company developed last year. The hole locations were selected as best chance to intersect the carbonate and / or related mineralised halo. Carbonatites are high value projects, with a higher exploration success rate in REE, Nb and other commodities. This is evident in the carbonatite exploration being carried out in the Gascoyne and with the discovery in the Arunta region by WA1 Resources. This coincides with our lithium exploration work underway in Northwest Territories and Ontario, in Canada.'
